Vice President Zhang Yiqun Met with Guests from the UK and France

　

Mr. Zhang Yiqun, returned from his previous post as First Secretary at Chinese Embassy in USA, appointed as Vice President of NAEA and responsible for International Affairs, met with guests respectively from France and the UK last week.

On 10th January 2007, Vice President Zhang held talks with Mrs. Nicole Bensoussan, Director, Centre International D’études Pédagogiques ( CIEP) France. CIEP was one of NAEA’s partners in its flagship programs, Chinese University Presidents’ Overseas Training Program. CIEP was responsible for the organization of such delegation’s training in France and Germany in the past two years.

On 12th Januanry 2007, Vice president met with Ms. Liumin, director of Asian Pacific Affairs, International Office, London South Bank University (LSBU), UK. Two sides exchanged views on the proposed program of staff development and other related issues. Draft agreement was reached during the meeting.

Last week, Vice President Zhang also met with Ms. Wang Yidan, Senior Educational Specialist of World Bank Institute, which has contributed to NAEA’s International Programs since 1990’s and two sides agreed to continue cooperation in new fields in the near future.
