NAEA New Vice President Met with Guests from USA and Japan

Newly appointed as NAEA vice president of international affairs, information, media and technology in July 2007, Mr. Niu Wenqi met with international guests respectively from USA and Japan, sharing views and exploring new cooperation possibilities.
On July 20, Vice president Niu held talks with Mrs. Joyce Warner, director of Education Program Division, International Research and Exchange Board (IREX) at NAEA on the trial program titled ˇ°the University Administration Support Programˇ± jointly conducted by both parties in 2006 and exchanged views about the forthcoming activities under this program. Mr. Lawrence Daks, senior consultant of IREX also presented at the meeting. 
Vice president Niu met and held talks with delegates from USA who were participants of the International Workshop on Capacity Building of Superintendents jointly conducted by NAEA and Peabody School Vanderbilt University between July 29 and August 3, 2007. About ten Chinese superintendents or educational directors from local education bureaus were invited to the workshop. 
Vice President welcomed guests from Japanese Universities in the last two weeks. On August 9 Professor Suzuki Hajime, Director of the Chief Executive Division of the Ritsumeikan Trust visited NAEA to discuss the arrangement of the forthcoming joint program ˇ°Overseas Training Seminar for Chinese University Presidentsˇ±. On August 23, professor Mika Mikazuo from Kobe University delivered lecture on Japanese Educational System to NAEA faculty.
