ABRUEM Delegation Visits the National Academy of Education Administration
On June 16, a delegation from the Brazilian Association of State and Municipal University Rectors (ABRUEM) visited the National Academy of Education Administration (NAEA) and participated in the China–Brazil University Leaders Dialogue under the Global Academy for Education Leadership (AGEL). Mr. Shi Peng, Executive Vice President of NAEA, met with the delegation. Ms. Rui Chen, Vice President of NAEA, and representatives from relevant departments attended the meeting. Mr. Rui Zhu, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, and Ms. Dongmin Mao, Director of the Division of American and Oceanian Affairs, Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education, attended the event and delivered policy briefings.
During the visit, all 15 rectors of the delegation participated in the China–Brazil University Leaders Dialogue. Under the theme “University Innovation Empowering Regional Development ,” the dialogue focused on topics including differentiated institutional development, industry–education integration, and the cultivation of application-oriented and technical talent. Through keynote presentations and a roundtable dialogue, participants exchanged institutional experiences and explored approaches to enhancing the role of higher education in regional development.
The roundtable dialogue was moderated by Prof. Qin Wu, Vice President of Jiangsu Vocational College of Medicine and a participant in the 76th University Leaders Program (16th Vocational Education Cohort). During the session, Chinese participant representatives, including Ms. Xiuli Li, Vice President of Guizhou Equipment Manufacturing Polytechnic; Mr. Gangqun Wu, Vice President of Zhejiang Institute of Economics and Trade; Mr. Guoqiang Pan, Vice President of Zhejiang Institute of Communications; and Dr. Hongtao Hu, Member of the Party Committee of Binzhou Polytechnic University, exchanged views with Brazilian university leaders on topics related to higher education innovation, industry–education integration, and regional development.
More than 100 participants attended the event, including all participants of the 76th University Leaders Program (16th Vocational Education Cohort) and faculty representatives from NAEA.
